Winning The Entrepreneur Awards

 


Prince Holding Group ("Prince Group"), one of Cambodia's largest and fastest growing conglomerates, is pleased to announce that its Chairman, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi ("陈志公爵"), or Cambodia Chenzhi, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year – Conglomerates at the 2021 International Business Awards. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is the only entrepreneur recognised in a category honouring leaders who run multi-industry businesses. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is one of three Asian leaders recognised for dynamic entrepreneurialism in various sectors during one of the most difficult years in corporate leadership. Furthermore, Prince Group received a Bronze Award in the Most Valuable Corporate Response (COVID-19 category), just three months after winning the best COVID-19 Corporate Response at the eighth annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards in May.

More than 3,800 entries were received for the 2021 International Business Awards from organisations in 63 countries. The Gold Stevie Award for Neak Oknha Chen Zhi in the Entrepreneur of the Year – Conglomerates category and the Bronze Stevie Award for Prince Group in the Most Valuable Corporate Response category were finalised after two months of voting by a panel of 260 professionals and key decision makers from around the world.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi has asked various Group member companies to make a difference in the lives of employees, affected communities, and frontline staff over the last year. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi donated US$3 million to the Cambodian government's anti-pandemic efforts in March, following a US$3 million donation in December to assist Cambodia in purchasing 1 million COVID-19 vaccines. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi also requested that the Group organise several rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations for its 3,500+ employees as soon as possible.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi recently signed a long-term partnership agreement with Caring For Cambodia, a leading education charity focusing on underprivileged students, and the Group will sponsor Career Preparation, an initiative aimed at assisting over 3,000 students in navigating the uncertain post-pandemic educational and employment landscape by equipping them with necessary skills and knowledge.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi has also taken a step toward sustainability by launching Ream City, an 834-hectare coastal development project based on sustainable real estate principles. Canopy Sands Development, a Group member, has started work on the project, which aims to set a precedent in the country by adhering to international standards. Canopy Sands Development will also soon release its first environment, social, and governance report.

In an era when leading corporations are fulfilling their social responsibilities, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi and his Prince Group leadership team have been working tirelessly to be a force for good in Cambodia, helping the Kingdom overcome the pandemic.
